i used to write here all the time.

i do not, any longer.
i think i have let the dear thing hybernate for a good year or two.

and then the other day
i had a nervous breakdown.
because i'm growing up
getting an apartment
and getting married.
all in two short months.

[the growing up part
hasn't happened just yet.
in fact, i'm not even sure
if it will happen by the time i get married.]

and i realized i missed this life.
everything on this blog,
i splattered my messy paint
on anyone who chose to enter
and read.

i was so open, it scares me.
because i think i've forgotten
how to be beautiful.
like this -- this kind of beautiful.
the thing we call life took ahold of me
except, i beg to differ.
that is not life, this is.
all quiet, open, raw, honest
thoughts.

that quietly and openly
make themselves into strands of poetry.

has the time really passed so very swiftly? six years ago, i started this blogging thing (back when it used to be called an 'online journal' ;) as a joke to myself thinking i would never write in it. and life has definitely proven me wrong--i've "met" people that i'm glad i've met (ahem) and i don't think it would be the same as meeting them randomly at some coffee shop somewhere around this world.

married! oh life is only going to get better for you! so exciting :) so happy for you!!!

(and good to see you back :)

i think for each time you think you've forgotten how to be beautiful you paint a very, very big irony ;) but it looks like you've figured out where i'm going with that statement :D

all the best to you, and do keep in touch yeah?

from germany, gute nacht!

she is a lovely young lady who loves jazz, jesus, and the vibriance of life that, as she says, "so many have lost."

sounds like the perfect combo to me :D

Whitney, nobody is "grown up" at the age of 20, even when they're getting married.

In fact, I'm not even grown up yet, and you know how old I am.  Growing up is a lifelong process.  Enjoy it, it is a gift.

When you do grow up, you'll be ready for heaven.
